Cuba Tourism visitor numbers on the increase (April 2010)
Tourists continue to flood into Cuba
Despite the U.S embargo on Cuba, with direct flights from several major cities in Europe and with access to the Cuban islands from may parts of the Caribbean and Central and South American, tourism continues to grow in Cuba.
For European tourists, companies such as Virgin Holidays offer package holidays in Cuba and with some stunning beaches, food and locations such as Varadero, tourism will almost definitely continue to grow in Cuba. Consider that it is a great all-inclusive location for honeymoon couples and also a great place to get married and also a fantastic diving location and with great year round weather, it is easy to see the attractions.
A number of statistics from different bodies have been released in recent months and all seem to show that Cuba now attracts 2 million plus tourist a year and should the United States, cancel the embargo of Cuba, that number could very quickly double or triple.
When will the embargo fall? It could be sooner rather than later so get ready for the tourism boom in Cuba.
