  • Facilities include: Short-term parking, Car rental, shops (buy your Havana cigars in the duty free shop), Currency exchange and bank.
  • There are several airlines who fly into Jose Martí and these are: for Cubana de Aviación, Aerogaviota and Aerocaribbean as well as airlines such as Virgin Atlantic (UK) and Continental (USA).

Transportation

Taxis – The cost of a taxi tends to be very cheap compared to what you are most likely used to and this makes this the easiest and best form of transport to use if you are heading into Havana.

Coach – If you are heading to one of the main resorts or cities other than Havana, the Viazul coaches are your best option. Regular buses leave from the airport for locations such as Santiago de Cuba, Varadero and Cienfuegos.

Car hire and Driving – If you are looking to rent a car, just be aware of the difficulties of driving in Cuba. At night time, for example, lighting is very poor and the road conditions are also lacking. There are several local car hire agencies some of which can be found at the airport. In the peak tourist season, the cars can be fully booked out so try and book in advance if you can.
