Jardines del Rey Airport Cayo Coco
Jardines del Rey Airport is the main way to get to the beautiful island of Cayo Coco, by air. Located in the area of Ciego de Avila, this is a very small regional airport with a handful of flights but which are very handy for those of you heading to Cayo Coco or Cayo Guillermo for a beach holiday. This airport has been open since the start of the millennium and does provide flights which servce thousands of tourists during the main tourist season between October and April each season.
Jardines del Rey airport has a number of facilities for passengers, which include two executive lounges, two duty free shops, a restaurant and a nursery. The facilities in this modern airport meet international standards on account of it having been built only in 2002. The main airline companies that serve the Cayo Coco airport are Cubana and Canjet. Travellers can access both domestic destinations as well as a number of international destinations, including many in Canada, from this airport.
