Best Cuban Beers

An exciting aspect of traveling around to different countries is the opportunity to sample some of the local food and drink options.

When you think of Cuba, the product you generally associate with the country is the Cigar. However, although it is not renowned for its production of beer, there is still a range of good quality beers for you to try when visiting Cuba.

Bucanero beer

This is a lager which is, not surprisingly, extremely popular with British visitors to Cuba. It is made with the finest local ingredients which give it a crisp and authentic feel.

Despite the fact that at 5.4% Bucanero is stronger than most lagers, it still has a refreshing effect and is one to be enjoyed on the beach on a sunny day or under the moonlight.

The good news for the Brits who enjoyed this beer so much on their travels is that it is now available in the UK

Cristal Beer

Statistics show this as amongst the most popular beers in Cuba, which probably has something to do with its conservative alcoholic content and high-quality taste which comes as a result of sourcing top quality Cuban ingredients, including natural spring water.

Hatuey beer

Although now brewed in the USA, Hatuey Beer has its roots in Cuba and has long been popular with the Cuban population.

It is still in large circulation in Cuba where it can be found in bars along the beach as well as around town.

It has a medium-bodied brew and a sweet taste which makes it easy to drink and ideal for enjoying on a sunny day.
